5 Healthy Habits for a Healthy Life/weight Loss tips 

 Today I want to share with you five habits that I do every single day to keep myself healthy and lean and these five habits literally do every single day and know that you've heard me talk about a couple of them before but I wanted to bring you throughout the day with me today and want to show you what do every single day to keep myself feeling good and lean and also these five tips.lose some additional body fat or wanting to lose some weight these five things have helped me in the past also when people think about oh like I want to lose weight want to lose belly fat I want to lose body fat we always think about nutrition and we always think about like how many calories we're eating but it's so much more than that the human body is very smart and it's very complicated and so it is much more than just looking at how much you're eating and your nutrition to lose fat and to lose weight so I'm going to give you all the rest of it everything that has helped me in the past to lose body fat and to stay lean and feel good and be healthy on a daily basis by the way.    

 Habit Number One: move your body get your steps in getting your exercise in I like to do it early in the morning with my walk but I'm also getting ready to do my workout because walking for me um is not quite enough walking for you might be enough to get your 10 000 steps in but for me some strength training too so I am getting ready to go to my garage gym and I'm gonna do a little workout already did my morning walk this morning and it was just absolutely beautiful and it's sunny and just kind of helps me wake up naturally helps decrease anxiety right away and so it's very nice so I'm very excited to take you guys throughout the day with me and we really haven't hung out very much in our new place so I'm excited. like all the same equipment that I had in my other garage gym, it's about the same size as my other garage gym that you guys are familiar with who have been on youtube with me but I haven't shared with you guys my brand new space um with you guys on youtube so [Music] [Music] [Music] as I'm down here stretching I wanted to remind you guys okay so drink your water. 

 Second Habit:  

 every day is to get my water in so the general rule is that however many kilograms you weigh are however many ounces you should be drinking so I'm approximately like 60 kilograms so should be drinking at least 60 ounces of water a day plain water not flavored and the importance for not having your water flavored is a lot of those like drops that you put in the in your water to like the flavor it is very like toxic to the body a lot of them are flavored with uh Splenda or aspartame and it's really bad for gut health and so it's just better just to drink plain water if you have trouble drinking plain water then you can't talk add lemon or fresh fruit something like that or even a little bit of carbonation try to stay away from like the flavorings if you can find one that has stevia on it instead of like splendor aspartame it might be a little bit better but I still recommend as you drink water and sometimes.hard time just drinking plain water also what helps me always have a straw so either in a cup orhave my blue nail gene water bottle you guys have seen before that has a straw in it so just drinking water out of a straw for me is so much easier because  don't have this motion of like drinking don't know it's just easier for me end up sipping down the water really fast when it's out of a straw so just kind of a tip keeping yourself hydrated with water will help with hunger hormones it'll help decrease appetite and it'll let your body know that it's actually hungry when it's hungry and not when it's not hungry if that makes sense water is my second tip.

Third Habit : every single day of course is to eat whole foods so i try to minimize processed foods i try to minimize like packaged foods shelf-stable items so whole foods so um this should look familiar to a lot of you guys this is my meal prep for the next couple days for work i start my work tomorrow and i work tomorrow and tuesday so just the next two days 12 hour shifts still doing my salad with some sweetness on top so right now  raisins organic of course because you want your grapes organic they're heavily sprayed with pesticides and then this is pretty cool so because it's summertime we are going to the farmer's market every saturday so these are uh berries we got at farmer's market and super super super delicious andsweet so these are boysenberries which is unique for washington up here and of course blueberries so what i've done is i've washed a few of them and put them in these bowls as like a snack for work probably like my morning break snack i'll have some berries and i'll top the berries off with some seeds still doing some seed cycling here and there i'm not really trying to balance my hormones as you guys know hello because i'm back on the birth control pill in preparation for ivf but i am still seed cycling here and there because i like seeds and they're very healthy for you pumpkin seeds are very high in protein so i like to put the seeds on top of the berries and then put some honey to sweeten it a little bit washington honey from costco delicious and then just another snack like if i'm feeling hungry in the middle of the day at work some cashews my favorite dressings so i ran out of this one primal kitchen condiments i just basically use all the time i don't really use any other company at this point because primal kitchen is they have super clean ingredients on their ketchup and their dressings and all their other condiments so for example super pure ingredients nothing processed nothing artificial so really really good for your overall health i just uh don't really pay attention too often to how many calories i'm eating uh because if it's whole foods then your body will use all the calori. 

the thing is I will still eat protein bars and I really like these still they taste just like fudge and they're vegan gluten- and our my salad I got from farmer's market also this is a new bag and then still topping off my salad with some protein get these at the grocery store Walmart sells them for like a dollar or two dollars really cheap so they're really convenient because you just open up the package and plop it on your salad or this is my last packet so I'm gonna take tuna for my second day and I like this one because it's wild-caught very important for your fish to be wild-caught and I like it because it's chunk light so it's to be lower in mercury because the chunk like tuna normally.

  Fourth Habit: physical health like nutrition you're eating uh enough calories and the right amount of calories and you're eating nutrient-dense foods and you're exercising and you're doing your steps and you're drinking enough water. so you could be doing all those three things but still have stubborn body fat that you're not losing and you're not meeting your body goals that you want and you're not losing weight because there are other things that we overlook often times so the fourth thing that i always do every single day is mindful meditation so i you i'm still using the app headspace which i'll put right here what it looks like when i think of meditation i think of like something like this like um that's not what it is for me so what meditation is for me is just to sit quietly with my eyes closed i use this app headspace which is really helpful and i focus on my breathing using this app i love this app so much i've been using it for three or four years now and it's just really help center myself so meditation for me helps me with mindfulness or practicing being present with yourself what that means is really trying to clear all your thoughts from your brain like clear all out and just focus on being present being mindful so as i'm sitting there with myself just focusing on breathing and not thinking about anything else just really taking in what's going on around me right then and there what ends up happening is i start hearing things i never noticed before like the birds chirping or the leaves outside brushing on the trees like i i wouldn't have heard that if i wasn't practicing mindfulness and just being present what is also interesting is when you do clear your thoughts from your mind and you're just focusing on the breath which is what this app helps you do you can't be anxious it's crazy like you know you're anxious or i i feel anxious and stressed when i have all these racing thoughts and i'm doing things but like my mind is racing that's when i get anxious and stressed but when i clear my mind actively clear it of all thoughts and just focus on being present even when i'm not meditating even when i'm just like doing things around the house or having a conversation or even like date night and focusing on eating the good food and my surroundings when i clear my head of all of the rushing thoughts and chitter chatter in my head and just focus on being present you can't be anxious it's amazing and you actually enjoy yourself and enjoy your surroundings.  

 Fifth Habit :   implement every single day is setting myself up to get a good night's sleep and enough sleep this is probably the hardest thing for me to do is getting enough sleep i just always have a lot of things to do especially with all these renovation projects and then working full-time and then the ivf work up and stuff like that i just find myself struggling to get enough sleep i'm trying to get to bed early and making that a priority and then once i go to bed making my mind like calm down of all the thoughts and which is why a lot of times i will meditate at night just to calm my brain down so i can fall asleep getting enough sleep and high quality sleep where you fall asleep fast and stay asleep until the morning is so crucial to feeling good to weight loss just to overall wellness because that's how the body repairs itself by sleeping and getting that rem sleep and then when we don't sleep enough inflammation goes up our hunger hormones go up we can't control our appetite our stress levels go up our anxiety levels go up and it's a vicious cycle yeah sleep is probably the most important thing out of all five what i recently found is this thing so this is by a company called ned and you can look them up online but it's a sleep blend and it has cbd and a whole bunch of botanicals in it and it comes in like a dropper and what you do is you put in a 1ml underneath your tongue for 60 seconds and then you swallow it and what this does and i've tried it a few times and it really helps it's all natural ingredients it's basically just a bunch of herbs and cbd and it just kind of helps calm the nervous system and helps calm the body it's all natural it's organic so this is what it looks like and i'll let you guys know further what i think of it but so far it's really helped me fall asleep and stay asleep and right now because this is pretty expensive it's 80 or 90 dollars this little bottle this is about a month supply if you use it every day.
